Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead
Footlight is opening the first show in the LateNight @ the Footlight series. This is the 3rd season for LateNight @ the Footlight and by far the best yet. You must see "Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead." In this unauthorized parody set approximately 10 years after the events in the 50-year-running comic Peanuts, CB's beloved beagle has terminal rabies, and his world is inhabited by a comic strip parade of misfits: a missing pen pal, an abused pianist, a pyromaniac ex-girlfriend, two drunk cheerleaders, a homophobic quarterback, a burnt-out Buddhist and a drama-queen sister. Together, these factors all contribute to - - Good Grief! - - to this modern tale of teenage angst. Always trying to understand life's darker meanings and still plagued with his endless identity crisis, BC turns to his gang of friends to find answers to his many life questions.

Homecoming Hullabaloo
Footlight's Young Actors Performance Ensemble has been working very hard for the past 5 weeks. Their hard work is going to pay off this weekend as their show opens and runs August 15, 16 and 17 at 3pm. These students have been working with NYC professionals to hone their acting skills and learn how to accomplish objectives not only on the stage but in life. These students come from all backgrounds and is a very diverse group. They are so talented and you will be blown away. You should definitely come and check them out. It is not your typical children's theatre. These students have experienced a process that teaches them what it is like to be a professional actor and they are treated as professional actors. Several of these students also appear in other productions of other theatre companies.

Welcome!
Welcome to Footlight's first blog! I am really excited about this new feature of our website. We hope to make this a place for feedback on our productions, a look "behind the scenes" with interaction from our directors, and a place to see what exciting things are happening next! I look forward to making this a true community theatre blog.
